Spiked Collar

Spiked collars are a great way to make sure your dog has some protection if there's ever an unexpected attack. We designed this beautiful spiked collar with alternating length spikes and decorative rivets that give it a "don't mess with me" style and "you can't mess with me" functionality. There is a small loop at the top of the collar for attaching a leash - important so that collar stays upright and the spikes don't tangle in the leash.

This Spiked Collar is made with a 1" wide, sturdy PU leather strap and hard plastic chrome plated spikes. It's looks very nice and it's perfect for occasional use but over time the PU leather will start to show signs of wear. If you need a collar that can be worn everyday and will last a long time we recommend our durable CoyoteCollar.

*Please Note...These collars are not waterproof.

*Please Note... Without a leash gravity and a loose fit can allow the coyote collar to spin such that the spikes end up at the bottom of the neck. A workaround is to add a spacer, washer, heavy charm (anything with weight) to the D Ring by the buckle of the Collar. This will give more weight to keep spikes at the top of the neck.

*Please Note...They are not chew toys. The purpose of these collars is to help protect your dog during a sudden vicious attack. We do not use metal spikes because they are too heavy, instead we use spikes that are made from a very hard plastic. If your dog just chews on the plastic spikes they will get ruined in short order. If you think one of your dogs will just chew on this collar it is not the right choice for you.

"I bought two, one for my dog Fenrir and the other for my dog Xochi. I love the style and also how the spikes actually seem like they will protect my dog too. The only downside is I ordered the same style of collar for my dogs, but one came with a center ring for pet tags to be attached and the other one didn't so Im unable to attach name tags to my dog Xochi. "I have small dog that doesn't realize he is a small dog and will defend his territory to death. After being attacked by neighborhood dogs twice, I realized I had to do something. Q&A

Do you have collars and or body armor that covers the front of the dog throat, jugular, trachea, breast etc areas?
Yes we have the SpikeVest, BullyVest, BullyHarness, CoyoteCollar, and Throat Guard products.
My dogs have the coyote vests with the spikes protecting their necks on the top. Can this collar be used for protection at the throat so their whole neck and and throat is covered?
We recommend the EveryDay Spiked Collar to use with a vest.
I have two dogs that hike with me. Isn’t there a danger of them inadvertently hurting each other while running and playing? Has this happened?

We make all our spikes removable, so you can pick the dogs up, hug them, and other dogs can play with each other. The spikes are very hard plastic and they're not dangerous to handle but with enough pressure, they're sharp enough to hurt. The spikes provide an important line of defense but the velcro makes them easy to remove whenever you want. The spikes only bite back when a predator is trying to harm your dog. Our spikes are plastic chrome plated to hurt if attacked but light weight so a small dog isn't weighed down. No one wants a mouthful of spikes and we have found the predator will retreat which gives the dog owner time to intervene.
Is this good for cats too?
Your cat's protection is our top priority! 🐱 What is your cat's name, weight, and breed? 🐾 To get the best fit, we recommend you measure the length of the back from the shoulder to the start of the tail (do not include the neck) -- make sure your cat is standing up and not sitting. Hold the ruler straight, do not bend it down over the cat's behind. We have found that measuring the back length by following the cat's back curvature can add to the length and throw off the sizing. The vests are designed with a straight back and do not have a curve to them. So when measuring, it's important that your cat is standing and you're measuring a straight shot from the front shoulder to the start of the tail without curving the measuring tape.
